0175westwood29 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) hi all hope everyone had a wicked NYE! and indeed festive period! just wondering if anyone like me who throughout the year has amassed a lot of new pedals, do you have a fave? for me the winner this year even tho its crazy, and not the most usable well until a project starts soon, the Cicada fuzz by Fuzzrocious great fuzz and add in the trem and gate and its a winner! Salt on your Bass? Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Not new to 2015 but new to me was the mountainking megalith. Fuzz and a boost in one box. It's become the only one on my board, really pleased with the buy. Quote
Kev Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Nothing new for me, Darkglass B7K still holds the title. Quote
ColinB Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 DIY Barbershop with built-in, always-on SHO boost. Just sounds sooooo good. Quote
Twincam Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Not had many pedals this year. But loving my new to me DHA vt1 bass valve drive standard, a very very good pedal imo much better than some three times more expensive. It can be subtle or fairly full on and everything in between nearly. Not perfect but at well under £100 bargain! I mean that as well. Quote
3below Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Sansamp VT deluxe and at the other price range Joyo JF-14 American pedal. The Joyo is incredibly good for DI recording, more so for the price. I think it outperforms my Sans Amp Tri-Ac on the equivalent 'Blackface' setting. Quote
dannybuoy Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Probably the old EHX Mini Q-Tron I picked up - I've tried a ton of filters and it's still my favourite! Runners up are all dirt pedals: - Prunes & Custard - so responsive and fun to play - B3K - had one and ditched one a while back but it sounds killer with this active Streamer I have - Agro - sounds amazing with the BB1025X Quote
TrevorR Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Never really been a effects user but this last year I started using a few more for textures when playing at church and put together a small pedal board. The workhorse star has been my Tech 21 VT Bass DI which is a cracking pedal. However, I'll nominate the only pedal I bought thiis year, an EHX Pulsar tremolo which is great for some progtastic effects and textures. Honourable mention goes to my 20 something year old Boss CE2-B which I also pulled out of retirement. Quote
Painy Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Probably the EHX Bass Soul Food for me. Great sounding drive for very little money. Nuff said. Quote
Billy Apple Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I don't really do pedals but I bought a B7K couple of weeks back and it's spot on. Very responsive organic gain which I'm enjoying very much. So that's my vote:-) Quote
ratman Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 My COG Knightfall 66 still has me grinning every time I turn it on. A close second is a recent purchase - a VFE/Runoffgroove Ginger. A lovely pre amp that's inspired by the Ampeg Portaflex. It breaks up really nicely across all the strings, subtle at times, but so effective. Quote
andybassdoyle Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 IE Subterranea - sick (as my son would say - it would appear that's a term of sincere approval) Quote
dudewheresmybass Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Bass soul food. Amazing pedal. Superb value for money. I wouldn't do without it now. Fits in every situation I've used it Quote
Bottle Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Added a few pedals to my board this year: EHX Micro POG Octaver TC Flashback Delay Mr Black Eterna Gold So far my fave(s) are the TC and the Eterna - together they form the core of my ambient-y goodness. Quote
danbowskill Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 I agree on the soul food,my best for the year Quote
BigBassBob Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Probably the Neunaber Slate (and the extra footswitch) as I can program four different effects into it and switch between them on the fly. Mine it currently set up with reverb, delay, chorus and shimmer. Quote
GazWills Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 got to be the TK421x from COG for me - I've always had a hankering for a RAT based pedal, and after trying most of the popular ones (fuzzrocious, idiot box, not to mention the original RAT) the COG just sounds right. It's the core tone for my new band Quote

odysseus Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Fishman Fission Powerchord FX. Loving the octave plus overdrive! Quote
b'boom Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Origin Effects Cali76 Compact Bass for me. I love it. Quote
Ghost_Bass Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016
Providing you got it in 2015
I thought that the thread was about pedals released in 2015, i'll be getting mine on the second batch, in Febuary 2016. I don't think i've even bought a pedal last year... probably the Zoom B3... Quote
