Kept the character of the passive Jazz, but with more tonal variety and output. And they're very easy to fit (they must be, as I managed it!). They're fantastic preamps, great variety of sounds on offer although I only tend to use the mid and the tone control, but there's nothing like have that amount of flexibility.
