Paul S
I know it is an offering from He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named but nevertheless.... Happy Jack
In all fairness, that looks like it was already a complete basket case before being ... erm ... improved.
Paul S
I think he is still largely to blame. I agree - someone, somehow squeezed the bass neck into the guitar body even though not all the screw holes lined up - as is plain. Any reasonable person, upon coming across the result of unholy union, would have acted differently. Throw it in a skip or, preferably, set fire to it. No, he compounded the aberrant alchemy by putting another guitar pickup and shabby non-adjustable bridge on it. Then sticks it on ebay and ask a mind boggling £257 for it. HowieBass
Do you think He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is a bit of a numerologist and has chosen the asking price of £257 for a special, mystical reason? Answer: Yeah, he's discovered the philosopher's stone that is capable of turning sh*t into... well, more sh*t.
Hobbayne
IBTL. Oh how how miss reading about his 7 string guitars for builders or plumbers with large hands.
cameltoe
The best part of this restoration is that he hasn't bothered to even fit new strings. In fact, he's just chucked on whatever dead crap he could find in his parts bin. What a restoration. Weirdly, I swear he drove past me in Fraddon, Cornwall on Sunday midday. I was just pulling out of a junction from the A30 and he was just turning on. It was either him or his double.

Roger2611
Ahh those were the days when we could make merry at this "luthiers" workmanship...nice to see he is alive and well and continuing to "save" these unloved gems I picture him as the mad scientist from The Human Centipede! Obviously it will have had one of the four wheels removed, thus making more room for the other three. The engine will have been swapped out for something utterly inappropriate. The upholstery will have been liberally treated with beeswax, which is a shame since it's fabric. The three tyres will be of different makes and designs, inflated to different pressures. Am I nearly there yet?

Having said that, I couldn't see whether he had fitted the steering wheel from a cruise liner to make it easier for plumbers or builders with big hands to drive. Was looking on eBay and someone was selling one of his creations and described him as a master luthier! How does he still have 100% feedback. I need answers.
