paulnb57 Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) I am in the process of collecting parts for a 51/54 P Bass inspired by the Dusty Hill Signature model which has a reverse headstock, so I am alittle concerned that some string sets may not have a long enough strings, does anyone have any experience of stringsets with a sufficiently long strings It may be that standard strings are long enough, but it would be a shame to spend several beer tokens to find they dont fit..... I would prefer Stainless, roundwound........45 - 100 The Dusty Bass has Fender® USA Bass 7250ML, NPS, (.045-.100 Gauges) bit they are Nickel..... Edited January 6, 2016 by paulnb57 Quote
bartelby Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) I use D'Addarios on a reverse headstock, modded, P bass. Plenty of string wrapped around Edited January 6, 2016 by bartelby Quote
paulnb57 Posted January 6, 2016 Author Posted January 6, 2016 Thanks Bart! 51 P is thru body strung, which will add about 1 1/2 inches.......might have to stick a 4 saddle top strung bridge on it......oh well I have both styles of bridge in the part bin, so all is not lost...... Quote
dudewheresmybass Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 I use standard roto swing bass on my reverse stocked warlock. I've never had a problem using standard length strings on reverse heads. My Kramer also has a reverse, and. I use the red Warwick strings, or roto bass Quote
