Greg.Bassman
Hi all. Hope you're well. I'm looking to give a little 'space' to my lines, so I'm on the market for a good, simple to use, tap delay; one that doesn't colour my sound necessarily, just simply repeats what I'm giving it. So far, someone has suggested the 'TC Electronic Nova Repeater'. Any others?
bassmanklm
Hi, I've got the nova delay. I believe it is some more complete version of the repeater. it can color your sound if you want, or be the cleanest of digital delays if it's what you want. Check the reviews there: http://en.audiofanzi...d-1-nova-delay/ Edit: one feature that differs in the ND from the RPT is that in the ND, you can save severals settings (9 IIRC) and recall them while playing. bakerster135
Have a look at strymon stuff really nice delays
The Strymon stuff is great! I've got the El Capistan but it does colour your sound, even at the mildest settings, as it's based on a tape echo. They recently released the DIG which looks great for a clean, non-coloured digital delay! Bit pricey though... I still have my Nova Delay (as a backup), and I reckon it sounds pretty perfect for what you're after. You'll probably be able to pick up a used one at a decent price too. I got mine for £100 off Gumtree.

tonyxtiger
The Walrus audio Bellweather looks pretty tasty. Good options on it. I want one!

hubrad
I picked up the Akai Headrush.. does various things incl. tap and tape heads stylee. Brilliant! I'm not mad into looping, so can't really comment on that side of it, but I think it's on the short side loop-wise. http://www.akaipro.com/product/e2headrush
thodrik
TC Flashback X4 is reliable, fairly flexible and easy to use. Takes up a hell of a lot of space though. The Line 6 DL4 is a good on too. I tried both but ended up going for the TC Electronic. T-Rex do some great (and expensive) delay units too.

GazWills
I have had the same inner-thought process recently... it's a dangerous path that leads to a blue sky and a timeline and a big overdraft!!
GazWills
but then i remember I have gone through about 20 delays, and in the end I can happily manage with a dispatch master for all my reverb and delay needs... if EQD did a bigger dispatch master with tap tempo and slightly louder delays I'd be all over it
