Carld
Hi All! I have a great MIA Precision with an S1 switch. After looking at all the worlds forums on this I thought I would run a few tests I ran it through Ableton Live and put on a spectrum analyser to see what going on. There's no doubt there a drop in level but I though what is the eq doing? Looking at the warm lows that are produced when the switch is off (out) they reduce when the switch is on (in) with boost in the highs. If your a slap player then it useful but there is a drop in the overall perceived sound and on the meters by about 4 to 5 db. If you had a booster pedal for when you switch it on then I'm sure the sound is useful live. I'll let you know how the S1 switch sounds at the next gig. Anyway, there's my t'pence a'penny for you.
