SOLD *Fender Precision Bass Sunburst 99 £750

Hi all,

Up for sale is my 1999 Fender Precision bass. It's an American Standard with through body stringing. Sunburst finish with tort pickguard and rosewood board.

Really beautiful bass, I bought this a couple of years ago from David at Cotswold Bass Guitars (lovely guy, makes a mean grean tea).

In great condition, a little ding here and there but overall looks great.

Currently strung with Thomasik flats - and just looks and sounds like the perfect Funk Machine.

Comes with ashtray and pickup cover, fender strap and hard case (SKB).

Top side of fretboard has some wear, not sure if this is natural or the previous owner did it - but it makes the bass a pleasure to play!

WIll ship UK and international if needed - at buyers expense.

Not interested in trades as I just put a deposit on a new Fodera and need funds!

Don't really want to sell this - but needs must!

This is tempting... I saw your Jazz post earlier (looks just like my Sadowsky) and was thinking that the twin Precision looks delicious! Where are you based?

Yeah - I bought them as a matching pair... though they were made in different years and countries! I am in Hampshire, near Reading. I'll do you a nice deal for the pair! ;-)

1996 to 2003 series of American Standards are vastly under rated basses, as are the 2003-2008 basses.
Great players (or at least every one I've played has been).

GLWTS, somebody will get a great gigging tool.

Hi this looks very much like what I've been looking for! What's the width of the fretboard at the nut?

Hey man - just measured it and it looks to be 43mm

Same series as my Aqua Marine one.
Unless the neck was swapped out it is modern C shape, 1.6" 41.3mm. Other spec see link below.
