jammys Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Do your neighbours complain about the noise levels when or if you practise at home? Quote
elephantgrey Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I live in a shared house, so i use a headphone amp. Quote
Luulox Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 No need for them to hear me now amps with headphone sockets and audio interfaces are so cheap. Quote
Cato Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Bass. B1on. Headphones. I doubt my neighbour even knows I play bass. Quote
Bobthedog Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I have no neighbours, so a pleasing no! Quote
Roland Rock Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 (edited) I practice unplugged at home Edited January 8, 2016 by Roland Rock Quote
toneknob Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Nope, I practice using a Roland Micro Cube so it's no louder than a normal stereo. Plus the walls here are very thick (it's a 1930s apartment block) Quote
TheGreek Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 My current neighbours are OK about me playing but, TBH, when I practice I don't turn it up too loud. One of my neighbours in my first flat was a sound engineer at British Aerospace and a former Sax player who tried to insist that I fill my bass bins with sound proofing and stand them on a blanket filled bread basket. Wasn't going to happen. He threatened to complain to the local council but after he'd complained about an electric fan being left on overnight by the local dentists downstairs they stopped taking him seriously. Consideration from both parties goes a long way. Quote
