Oversoul
I've had some people asking me what bass am I playing in my avatar, (and how many strings it has), well here it is! It's not mine, but from a good friend, I've had a 9 string in the past, from Conklin guitars, my friend Paulo liked the concept so much he jumped in ERB wagon too. it's one of the most comfortable ERBs I have ever tried, with a very jazzy and clear like tone (what we all know as the popular term "jazz on steroids") string spacing is about 17mm at the bridge. Tuning is F#BEADGCF Edited September 16, 2008 by Oversoul

peted
That is a stunning bass. I could never justify owning one myself, but they sound so good in the right hands. I frequently pop along to the Jerzy Drozd website to look at the stunning basses.
Oversoul
And the cool thing is, he's not the kind of luthier that grabs on to a design, and then replicates it for years with just the usual fancy wood options. (Not that some designs out there are absolute winning formulas!!) He's always making innovations to his standard designs, just a few days ago he announced some changes to the standard line. But as you can see, you CAN go full custom with him.
7string
What a great looking instrument !! 9 STRINGS THOUGH. I MEAN 9. Who needs one of those, why can't they just make do with 4 strings. Besides, what kind of complete plonker orders one anyway Edited September 16, 2008 by 7string

7string
My attempt at comedy nearly paid off It's only a matter of time before someone posts something like that when an ERB turns up. I thought I'd get in there first
Prosebass
Nice piece of wood.... I can't understand why people need 5 strings let alone 9 ? Think we should call a nine a 2.25....( 4 x 2.25 = 9) sounds better.. What you got ? Mines a 2.25....... what do you reckon ? I own several 1's ........
