Turnaround
I wonder if anyone has sold on ebay to a Chinese buyer? I've had a best offer from a guy who first contacted me a month ago saying he's been looking for a model like mine and would I ship to China. I said no at the time but now he's back. What do you think, genuine. ?
the boy
I'd do it. Insist he arranges his own courier. Correspond only through eBay messenger and contact eBay customer services to inform them what's happening. That said, don't do anything you are uncomfortable with. Is your guitar particularly hard to get?
Turnaround
Thanks, it's an original USA Steinberger so it is reasonably rare. He seems to sell valves/tubes and pre amp's etc so it could be genuine....just not without pitfalls.
Musashimonkey
I sold a premium Overwater 6 string to a guy in China. No issues at all. Just stay within eBay and PayPal etc; and all should be fine. Would be worth checking their feedback history first though.
Musashimonkey
Actually, although I was fine, maybe be careful with PayPal. They do a 'charge back' now. There's another thread on here talking about it. Bank transfer probably a safer bet.
taunton-hobbit
I always insist on cleared funds in my bank, on direct transfer. It works.
