Graham
I was never a huge fan, always respected his creativity though and I do really like Space Oddity
The fasting showman
"All The Young Dudes"
Yes, both the Mott version and the one on 'David Live' When I heard the news 'Look back in anger' is the song that I needed to hear first. Ask me tomorrow and it could be totally different, so much incredible music to choose from.
Woodinblack
Break stuff. Followed by 'afraid of americans', and 'Life on Mars'
spongebob
Even thought I'm not a Bowie-head, there's still a list a mile long I could choose. I'm going to plump for 'Golden Years', or 'Fame'.

Beedster
You only have to start the process of identifying s favourite to realise just what an extraordinary talent he was. I agree with nearly all the selections so far!
Roger2611
Mine is probably "The Man Who Sold The World" I just love the haunting vocals at the back end of the song....same with Under Pressure....my biggest memory of Bowie was his performance at Live Aid I was proper moved! sharkboy
Drive-In Saturday, followed closely by Heroes and Life On Mars. Predictable, certainly, but classics all.
JapanAxe
More awesome. Look out for Garson, Gabrels and whoever the drummer is here. Amazing.
The drummer is Zachary Alford I believe. Note how Carlos Alomar (the other guitarist) makes do with a tiny pedalboard...

Oopsdabassist
I always loved panic in Detroit
A band I was once in, not long after I started playing bass, made me learn this, it nearly killed me, but what a song! That's the thing with Bowie, as soon as you nail your colours to the mast, along comes someone else to remind you of yet another great song! leftybassman392
Crikey! I have no idea how to choose! I don't think I've ever heard a song of his that I don't like (although to be fair there are some gaps in my knowledge...), but if pressed I'd have to say that his early stuff resonates most for me. Let's just say 'anything from Ziggy Stardust'. I'd rather not choose beyond there if that's ok with everybody...
4-string-thing
Heroes is brilliant, but in my opinion it's mainly because of Robert Fripps guitar playing. 5 Years is one of my favourite songs ever.

Old Man Riva
Starman...mainly because it takes me back to 1972 every time I hear it. And as for that incredible Top of the Pops performance...
Today it's this for me also. The moment a black & white world turned vivid Technicolor and things were never quite the same again.. Hobbayne
Sound And Vision. I love the long intro before the vocals finally kick in. Also The Man Who Sold The World. Nirvana did a good cover of that.
