ped
Hi Basschatters We're trialling a new idea here on Basschat - posting the occasional 'sponsored' topic. You'll be able to identify them from the tag you can see next to the topic title. This will allow companies who fall between the 'affiliates' forums and a full blown banner advert to send us information about promotions/giveaways, reviews, videos, in depth interviews and pictures/features such as the 'Basschat Visits' section trialled last year (see here, here and here. All topics will be posted by a representative from the company in question and will be open for discussion and comment by all parties. We hope it'll be a nice way of getting major brands engaging with you all and lead to some free gear and giveaways for you. We'll work with the companies to make sure the content is relevant, engaging and useful, so don't worry about spammy marketing posts. There will be one or two cropping up in the appropriate forums over the next month or so, and we look forward to hearing what you think. Cheers ped

stevie
If it makes the site owners a few bob and keeps the spammy marketing posts out of the normal chat threads - great idea. [edit] Upon second thoughts, it these commercial threads are going to be listed under a normal chat header, that would be a step too far IMO, although if they appeared under their own, separate header, that would be fine.
