discreet Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 (edited) Hayman 4040 Bass - Buy It! Very rare Hayman 4040 Bass. If I had the loot I'd be all over this even though I already have a Hayman 4040. To find one in this condition with its perspex 'H' logo and serial number plate/truss rod adjuster cover still in place is very unusual. These are not only classic vintage British hand-made basses, they are superb players and sound absolutely fantastic. The necks on these really are second to none. If you can afford this, buy it at any price. Seriously. Not many were made before Hayman became Shergold and of course they're getting rarer all the time. Mine is going nowhere, it's a fantastic bass. Like I say, if I had the folding this would be coming to discreet towers. Beer of the Bass Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Nice. I still kinda regret missing out on a silver Hayman that was nearly my first bass when I was a teenager. It would probably have got me some funny looks in the school big band I was playing in though... Quote
ash Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Clocked it but I just got another early Marathon! Quote

EssentialTension Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Very tempted but no cash or space. Just like the one I had from 1974 to 1976. Quote
