JamesBass Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Rounds and Flats. Easy, next question! Quote
kodiakblair Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 (edited)
OK then, how do justify having more than thirty..?
Ehh.. Is this a trick question ? Asked the ginger tom. He says it's OK Edited January 13, 2016 by kodiakblair Quote
jazzyvee Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016
ah no need to justify it, buy whatever you like... get three if you want.
Agreed. Quote
Dood Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016
Yeah... Don't see a problem with it based on what you've already said. I have Beedster's 70's Yamaha Pulsar incoming and other than being maple/ash (as opposed to my current rosewood/alder p) it's my year of birth bass I've been keeping an eye for for while and wanted before my 40th next year...
Snap! My '76 landed a few months ago. My birth year bass and i've just turned the big 40 this month. It's an Ash and Maple lawsuit bass and I adore it so much! Incredible instrument. My other 'precision' is a Power Jazz Bass Special from the 80's and is a completely different bass despite the similar outline. Quote

Just don't wait until you're 50 to decide you're going to do whatever you want to do, like I did. Edited January 13, 2016 by discreet Quote

Machines Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I want another, probably Fiesta Red with a maple board. Quote
chrisanthony1211 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 (edited) Pretty daft having two of the same bass, if you ask me you should have a minimum of three of your favourite axe....!!!!!! 😬 Edited January 13, 2016 by chrisanthony1211 Quote

Geek99 Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 i only have one Precision, with Warwick Red rounds on it - if I was into flats as well, I could conceive of needing two maximum. I know one BC member has 15 precision basses. My partner heard him say this and said "dont get any ideas about that...." - she tolerates four basses as long as they bring different things to the party. However, if you earned the money, and its a good price where you're not being scalped, have whatever you like. Quote
Andytre Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 one maple, one rosewood, one with flats, one active, one short scale, one with 5 strings, one with 50's style single coil pup, one that's fretless and one that's my first ever bass that i keep for sentimental reasons, they all seem justified! JapanAxe Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Ash/maple '73 - woody warmth. Alder/rosewood '63 RI - punch. Don't know the neck profile letters but they're not the same. So different, yet so familiar. Quote
