Double Bass Scratches - how to make them go away

Hello,
During the course of my bass life I have managed to add one or two scratches to my baby and because I luv my DB (not like that! :) ) I want to tidy her up and remove the scratches.

Whats the best stuff to use ?
Any tips / ideas on how to make her gleam ?
