Almost exactly £1000 got me this...



However, £1000 spent used can get you 300watts of valves and loads of weight or it can get you nigh on 1000watts of digital lightness or pretty much anything in between :)

All you r gonna get is loads of posts of people recommending what they use. There is a world of difference between the sound of just the stuff thats already been mentioned without the recommendations for Ampeg and Ashdown that are sure to follow.

Without having any clue of your requirements other than watts and price I am not going to recommend anything.

This is a generic request, so the generic reply is, you need a 500 watt (300 watts into 8 ohms) amp and a 4x10 8 ohm cab. You can always add another 8 ohm cab later if you need more power.
