£1000 for head and cab ideas???

Hey people, can anyone recommend a head and cab,, i have about a grand to spend..around the 300w area...

Any ideas??

Can't go wrong with markbass.

I use a LMII with a Schroeder cab (£750 for both 2nd hand)
Just over a grand new

second hand mesa 400+ save up another 200 or so and grab yourself a matamp 2X15 to go with it

Very open ended question, if you go down the second hand route you could buy pretty much any rig you like!

I paid a visit to the Bass Merchant on thursday.
Tried out a Genz Benz shuttle 6.0 and Mark Bass 102Hf. I was hugely impressed.
Right on your thousand pound budget.

Almost exactly £1000 got me this...



However, £1000 spent used can get you 300watts of valves and loads of weight or it can get you nigh on 1000watts of digital lightness or pretty much anything in between

All you r gonna get is loads of posts of people recommending what they use. There is a world of difference between the sound of just the stuff thats already been mentioned without the recommendations for Ampeg and Ashdown that are sure to follow.

Without having any clue of your requirements other than watts and price I am not going to recommend anything.

This is a generic request, so the generic reply is, you need a 500 watt (300 watts into 8 ohms) amp and a 4x10 8 ohm cab. You can always add another 8 ohm cab later if you need more power.
