ubit
But certainly up here, parties and particularly weddings are very hard nights. We have to start earlier and play longer. We are also expected to provide entertainment during the buffet. Also we are expected to play music that fills the floor all night, play requests on demand, smoochy numbers when everyone is pissed etc. It can be a hell of a lot harder than your average pub gig ! TimR
I wouldn't even consider playing a wedding or party with our current set. Having said that; we have played two parties for 'fans'. So they knew what they wanted and got exactly that. We just aren't a funk/party/pop band. And conversely the function band I was in wouldn't even consider playing a pub. YMMV . Edited February 21, 2016 by TimR
redbandit599
Understood- no way we'd take that sort of party. Our ones to date have been for people who want what we do down the pub at their own night somewhere. The function type stuff with requests and playing background music would be a straight decline. We always take lights and mp3 play lists to pub gigs anyway- so no major change from the norm. I suppose there are parties and PARTIES☺.
