uncle psychosis
Anyone tried the Zoom G3(X) with their bass? I have a B3 and a G3X, but find that the B3 tends to only get used for DI purposes. I was wondering about selling it and replacing it with a standalone DI---but keeping the G3X for emergency bass purposes. Obviously I can try it myself to see what it sounds like but has anyone else tried the guitar specific zooms with their bass?
Dood
The G3 does not include the ability to mix in a direct blend of the dry bass sound. This does mean that whereas some effects may be fine, you will lose low end through many such as distortion and drive tones. Using a blend pedal may seem like a solution (which I haven't and can try at some point) but I suspect that the latency through the DSP will cause some phasing issues - cancellation of frequencies that will affect the resultant sound.
