Valve pre like the LH series. I'd be interested to hear how that tone stack works.

Yet other amp with the switch on the back. Maybe their target market is DJs. Sorry, but it looks like a cheapo TC Rebelhead. And only one Speakon is a bit cheapskate.

I think it looks great. I'm a big fan of the LH series and use them as my main amp but also like the shape function from the other Hartke amps. Been waiting for a class D from them so hopefully will be affordable

I suggested that one what, 5 years ago? LH preamp with high spec D -Class power amp. Would have been a winner then.

My general thinking is that you aren't going to get any game changers at the usual Class D pricepoint
so nothing new to see here...

Think you`re right there JT, but still think it`s good to see manufacturers putting out small lightweight Class D amps so that us lesser abled mortals can have the brands/sounds we like, in a package we can carry. I don`t think any of the Class D amps are really ground-breaking in comparison to the bigger models of the same brands that they`re based on, what is/was ground-breaking is amps that are light and portable. Sure some of the sound is sacrificed but I really don`t know how I`d get on playing bass without these small lightweight amps.

I get that, Lozz...and it applies to cabs and basses as well, I think.

I run a lightweight option myself and I'd have to say the Demeter is my sort of compromise...
but it wasn't the cheapest.

Best not let our drummer near one then (oh c'mon, somebody had to  ).

Same here. I love the "Shape" function, which has not yet been available on Hartke's stand-alone heads. Looking forward to this being available.

I really liked the sound of the LH500 when I tried one, so if this sounds similar but smaller and with more control over the mids it might do quite well. I'm not wild about the cosmetics though - it puts me in mind of a CB radio set...
Anyone seen an RRP yet?

$449 = £300 ish
[/quote]

Would be nice, but unfortunately, by the time shipping, VAT and import duties go on, it's probably going to be nearer £400 at a pessimistic guess.

Absolutely correct, I forgot about that. I have it on an old Kickback combo and think of it as "The good tone knob". Set everything else flat and turn until you get the tone you want, with any bass.
