Dread to think what would happen if I ever went in there.

I love Precisions and if you do too, have a look at these 2 he's got:

Very nice indeed.

Or, you could have a bargain 1957 P for £5800 o.n.o. ( see signature for a link to complete the shameless plug) ;)

I look pretty much every day. He is very much at the high end of the market price-wise, though. Just an observation, not a complaint. You get what you pay for and can be confident the instruments are what he says they are, so peace of mind really.

Believe me, if I had £5800 knocking about it would have been in your hot hands quite some time ago. ;)
Very, very lovely bass - would be absolutely perfect for my latest project.

Cheers Mark. So you got a new project on the go? 76P back in action?

No, Limelight Daytona Red 63 P in action! But I'd much rather have a lovely Fender 57 P in action!! :D
How about an easy-payment scheme?? ;)

Nice, she looked very sweet ;)

Easy payment? Surely you can work out a direct transfer, it's a sinch, easy peasy. Shall I put it on hold for you?

It would be very easy! But I fear the words 'insufficient funds' would appear somewhere in the transaction...

I love p basses but I don't see the appeal in both basses at that price, both look a bit fake in there wear on the scratch plates too I thought, maybe it's just the pics.

Chiliwailer's bass is lovely though.

As much as this shop gets much kudos, I looked at a vintage Ric there a while ago. All was purported to be original and in good working order. Although on removal of the TRC it was apparent that the TRN's were not parallel and one had indeed failed. I showed a picture of the two nuts to a Luthier who confirmed the same.

It's like anything. Always have your wits about you

Oh my god! that '73 Oly White Fender Jazz :o

Me oh my! blocked and bound maple, tug bar, ash trays. I thought I was out of love
with Jazz basses. That one is stunning.

Slightly off topic , but I'm looking out of a 70s precision and it's so hard to know what a fair price is

As someone said above Andy Baxter is high end , but also the quality and confidence is high end, perhaps paying slightly more is not an issue if the private sale prices catch up to what I've paid in a few years

It's fun keeping an eye out though

Looking at 70s Precisions, they seem to be from £1800 upwards for an early 70s, and £1000 upwards for late 70s. The ones I had (77 and two 78s) were around the £1000 - £1350 mark.
