New EHX Bass Preacher compression pedal.

In case anyone is interested. Not sure EHX are exactly renowned for their compressors (the half hearted on/off only compressor built in to my old Bass Metaphors is certainly nothing to get excited about) but at least looks to be fairly inexpensive as you'd expect (£61 from GAK).

Hmmm. EHX are great for effects that shout 'Hey I'm an effect...whooooo whoooo whoooo !!!"

Not sure if that's so good for comps. I had a Soul Preacher for a bit....superb for a ubersquished sound, but not for anything halfhearted. It sucked.
