Honestly I can't be bothered dude. I'll stick to the classifieds section :)

I'm new to this thread too, so I'm in the dark here. But I would say to the TheBassist, you have a right to express your thoughts. It would be a sad world if you didn't. Also, nobody has a total right not to be offended at stuff. When you stop having the right to offend, then free-speech will be gone.

Thebassist, please don't stress out. We've all been in you position, well I have anyway. Just take a day or 2 to chill and you'll be welcome back anytime. Good luck mate.

Shame the OP took the original down.........
I think the gist of this is a bit like internet dating....
you never get what (you think) you want...
'oldies' have a lifetime of mistakes (sorry, experience)
to impart...........
The tambourine is not a musical instrument. There is nothing whatsoever musical about a tambourine. This is why it is safe in the lead singer's hands.
Technique and style is everything!

As the original post has "vanished", let me make an basschat guess at some answers to the post.

Flats are better than rounds.

A ESP is the best bass for metal.

Leo got it right with the P bass.

If it had 5 strings I would be all over it.

Any more?

The one constant is that i am always the most immature in any situation.

That's me in a nutshell in a band situation. Music is my big release from reality, so whether I'm rehearsing or on stage at a gig I'm always the manic one. Surprises people no end that I then go completely anti-social once the music stops, and it often comes across as arrogance :-(
