BassTractor
Kaoss pad?
Nah. He wants a controller to control the Korg Kronos, not just to be able to make sound while moving about. (BTW, I assume you meant the Kaossilator loop synth, as the Kaoss Pad is an effects unit.) BigRedX
Just customise a keytar steam-punk style:

If not, you'll just have to go straight over the guitarist's pedals - give him some "overdrive" he'll never forget

Yeah, unfortunately stage size stops these kinds of shenanigans at the moment

KevB
Our singer uses a Roland Ax-Synth. Someone in the audience a couple of weeks back referred to it as her 'lady organ'
Guest ixlramp
These are custom made by Elaine Walker http://verticalkeybo....com/index.html Controller keyboards stripped down to the playing surface, in order to allow the left hand to play from the opposite side like a guitar. Also allows other playing positions including conventionally on a stand. I love the idea of keytars but usually they seem awkwardly designed and often 'one handed'. Here's a video of Elaine performing one of her songs using a microtonal (Bohlen-Pierce scale) version.
