Looking forward to it.

Have you tried them ?
[/quote]

Nope. I owned the old RM cabs and they were nice. Went to the mibass 1x12" cabs to reduce weight, and these are lighter than those even in bigger cab sizes.

I'm getting them next week so will report back.

Yup, what he said please Andy :)

I've no reason to believe they'll be anything other than corking for the money.

Get my Mi12's collected tomorrow and green light the delivery of these...

They look good and are priced really well. Anyone know what "lightweight ply" means?

I know the fender rumble v3 cabs were investigated, they're silly light too

If they sound good then that's a fabulous price for really light kit and will undoubtedly be popular. I really like the look of the rootmaster evo head too - just a pity that the demo vid in the OP's link is just awful with slap from start to finish.

I'm considering selling my 2 Mi10 cabs to buy a single RM-112T-EVO...

How do.

So, all unboxed...

They're stupid light, no right to be as light as they are. And the deep dish handles make them a easy one hand per cab manoeuvre in and out of venues.

They're quite shallow back to front.

The RM800 is a silly loud piece of kit, so it'll get a proper run out on Mondays rehearsal, but seems like I'll have a lot of fun.

Will keep updating as my time with it goes on, but the instant 15" 'whumpf' was back, and I'm so relieved to have it back.

How's the build... they seem crazy cheap and light.
Surely something has to give ??? And it makes all other cabs look very over priced.

Same as the old Rootmaster stuff. My only reservation is the tolex is quite soft feeling, so may tear easily. But, I'll be looking after it. They feel solid otherwise.

Just been told was the first rig to ship so the shops should have them soon...

I take it the Mi12s didn't push out as much bass then?

It didn't seem it, they were great for finger style but not deep enough for slap or Motown/soul.

But that's just my opinion.
