Thanks guys.
I've got a 210 and 115 on the way. Looking forward to it. Quote
AndyTravis Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016
Have you tried them ?
Nope. I owned the old RM cabs and they were nice. Went to the mibass 1x12" cabs to reduce weight, and these are lighter than those even in bigger cab sizes. I'm getting them next week so will report back. Quote
spyder Posted January 30, 2016 Author Posted January 30, 2016 Great... Please report back. Thanks. Quote
AndyTravis Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016
Yup, what he said please Andy
I've no reason to believe they'll be anything other than corking for the money. Get my Mi12's collected tomorrow and green light the delivery of these... Quote
4StringPete Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Look interesting, I'm looking for a single 12 or 2x12 to use with my CTM 30 and an Ashdown 15 Quote
Merton Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Quite tempted by the 112s, they're a little cheaper than they originally said too.... Damn. Quote
stevie Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 They look good and are priced really well. Anyone know what "lightweight ply" means? Quote

AndyTravis Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Should be here tomorrow, got them to send the Rootmaster evo 800 head too. Why not... Quote
mrtcat Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 If they sound good then that's a fabulous price for really light kit and will undoubtedly be popular. I really like the look of the rootmaster evo head too - just a pity that the demo vid in the OP's link is just awful with slap from start to finish. Quote
eude Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I'm considering selling my 2 Mi10 cabs to buy a single RM-112T-EVO... Eude Quote
Musicman20 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Decent spec and decent price! Is it me or do Ashdown constantly revise certain products? Quote
Merton Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Nothing wrong with constant spec updates though it does get mighty confusing trying to track what is actually available! Quote

AndyTravis Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 How do. So, all unboxed... They're stupid light, no right to be as light as they are. And the deep dish handles make them a easy one hand per cab manoeuvre in and out of venues. They're quite shallow back to front. The RM800 is a silly loud piece of kit, so it'll get a proper run out on Mondays rehearsal, but seems like I'll have a lot of fun. Will keep updating as my time with it goes on, but the instant 15" 'whumpf' was back, and I'm so relieved to have it back. Quote
spyder Posted February 2, 2016 Author Posted February 2, 2016 How's the build... they seem crazy cheap and light. Surely something has to give ??? And it makes all other cabs look very over priced. Quote

My only reservation is the tolex is quite soft feeling, so may tear easily. But, I'll be looking after it. They feel solid otherwise. Just been told was the first rig to ship so the shops should have them soon... https://instagram.com/p/BBS7beaOQbw/ https://instagram.com/p/BBS7f7MuQb3/ Edited February 2, 2016 by AndyTravis Quote

Eude
It didn't seem it, they were great for finger style but not deep enough for slap or Motown/soul. But that's just my opinion. Quote
