Opinions on Ampeg BA210 V2?

Hi all,

I've been eyeing up the new upgrade version on the Ampeg BA210.

I'm looking into picking it up to use in a few cover bands. 450w would decimate the kind of gigs I'm doing!

Anybody got one / gigged one?
Any pros or cons?

I've got one. It sounded great, punchy, powerful but a fairly warm tone. Used for pub gigs, rehearsals and practicing with aux in for playalongs.

 

But, it suddenly stopped working after about 6 months use from new. The amp engineer (Keld in Newark) tested it and said something has blown on the board, so either high labour cost to find the part and replace it replace the entire board. Am not happy with this lack of reliability!

I would imagine 8 years later he’s using something else !!

😆 Yes, though my feedback on the BA-210v2 was more for others who found his post, searching for the model, like I did.
