chrisanthony1211
I understand the reasons for the raised A pole, but what years did Fender do this on their vintage precisions, I've read that they stopped routinely using them in 1959, but also have seen precisions with them on as late as in 1964, as well as slab necks still being used in 1964, was it just a case of using up old stock, or did all these changes happen over a long period of time with old pieces of hardware being used a few years after their planned changes? More of an evolution rather than a revolution!!!
Chiliwailer
Both the raised A after 59 and slab after 62 would be quite rare, but not impossible. Back then Fender always used up whatever was still around, despite the year or current specs. My old 69 P had green and orange amplifier cloth wiring that they were using up after they changed to plastic wire, love it
