OK...

It's 28 days until the end of February...

I've got a DAW I don't know how to use, a midi controller I'm not sure about, an effects unit they say can be used as an audio interface, no mic, no keyboard skills, no time, no ideas... and I'm wearing sunglasses...

Hit it!

I love the picture and I have a chorus already. Well done Dad.

My, my..! I'm stalled in the starting blocks, meself..! Too much, too fast. No, no, you go on ahead; I'll just sit here and 'noodle' for a while. I'll still be here on your way back. Yes, another shawl and I'll be fine; off you run, now... :D

Ah, good. That leaves the trombone door wide open for me. Hmm... (Taps toe a few times...) Ouch..! That hurt..! Too fast a tempo; I'll have to reign in the bongos a bit...

We have had some very wet themes recently , when I win this month* I think I will choose a picture of a desert ..... Or even a dessert

*well, a bit of optimism won't hurt will it :)

@NickD - it's worse than that - 21 days until submission! Good luck - but if you need help, the guys here are very knowledgeable and very helpful, so please ask.

cheers

It's not a very February pic, is it.
Which is a good thing, as it'll hopefully lift everyone's spirits a bit & add some sunshine. :D

That pic really had me stumped for a while, wasn't quite what I was expecting, considerably more summery :)

I've got something brewing now, need to digest it for a while, see if I can do anything like what I'm hearing in my head

Hmmmm verrrry... interesting... *rubs chin*

I'm going to put my bikini on and submerge my head in a bucket of water for a while, then see what I can come up with...if I don't drown first.

Believe it or not, I'm almost finished my track! Took the idea of her diving in, added the sunshine & blue skies & came up that it should be on piano. Got my melody & it's grew arms & legs already.
I might spend the next couple of weeks fine tuning it & playing with filters, etc. :)

Is it within the rules to allow someone to add to a composition ie words and singing...as I am useless at both!
Yeah of course! You're welcome to collaborate with other people as much as you like :)
