Good one. I know Damian fairly well thanks to some live mixing I've done on shows he's played near where I live. Really nice humble guy, and he's quite fluent in a lot of other styles too. Here's one band I've enjoyed seeing a few times in a small club in Portland, where this was recorded:

The only thing I know about him is that he uses one of those weird double strap things...

... he writes some good columns on no treble though, comes across very grounded and not "holier than thou" like a number of the columnists on there.

Damian actually started out as a Metal drummer himself, but yeah, Peter has quite a resume.

I've only ever heard him in this context- plenty of palm muting and that pizz triplet pluck style thing that he has down so well. However I recently saw him online playing as a sideman with Gino Vannelli on his 2014 tour (an uber hero from my youth- his voice just gets better with age). It was really refreshing and bloody good!
