emilouf
Hi guys. I've looked into hooking my bass into a guitar amp with an octaver. Should be fine, I won't blow up the amp. Now I've read somewhere that it's worth a try to plug octavers (as well as reverbs, termolos, choruses and so on) in the effects loop in order to have a better sound. I want to try that, but I'm not sure if my amp is gonna be happy with it, considering that it's the pure signal of a bass that's gonna go directly in the preamp section. Any thoughts on this one ? 0175westwood29
it basically would mean you were bypassing the amps eq, theres more clean in the mix. however if you thinking of plugging you bass into the amps input, then having effects in the loop, your going to be hitting the eq and pre amp with the full standard bass signal, might sound good might not, id stick with the octave up before the amp and try the verb and delay in the loop. emilouf
Thanks Andy. Yeah makes sense. I'll try both and see. If it just doesn't sound good and don't destroy the amp it's alright I guess
