william64 Posted February 7, 2016 Share Posted February 7, 2016 It's always about everyone's ear and taste. If I were you I would buy a used Stingray with 3 band EQ and with ceramic pickup. [/quote] That may well be, without knowing how he set the EQs on the basses it would be difficult to know. However I have both rosewood and maple boarded Stingrays and they sound quite different, particularly the slap sound. Rosewood has a darker sound and is slightly more mellow.
