Thunderpaws
Ola. Have been given £35 Amazon vouchers. What should I buy? I have a tuner and some dirt. What's fun but useful for that money?
leroydiamond
Elixir strings would be my option. Great tone, feel lovely on the fingers and they last for a hell of a long time. I have a set on my bass for 6 months now and they are still spot on. All you got do is give them a wipe down immediately after gigs/rehearsals and thats it

Cameronj279
Strings would probably be my choice too. Even though you have just restrung, you'll end up restringing again at some point.

Have a zoom b1 but a couple of buttons are bust. This could be just the ticket. I'll do a bit of YouTube research. Anything else out there? Subbeh
Pepsi throwback or Pepsi Wild Cherry, the American stuff loaded with cane sugar not that corn derived sh%te. It's just amazing! Maybe a bluetooth speaker for the bathroom, showers are great when accompanied by music/podcasts Edited February 7, 2016 by Subbeh
I'd (+1) this with one notable exception. For strings, Luthier's choice is the canine 'nads http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0002D0K5K/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1454861054&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=luthiers+choice&dpPl=1&dpID=416HhaEPK4L&ref=plSrch I only know the string cleaner, but if the other two are anywhere near as good then get the set 👌 P. Sausages
I got one of these; surprisingly useful: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vox-AP2-BS-amPlug-Headphone-Amplifiers/dp/B00NAUKJTY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1454862619&sr=8-1&keywords=vox+headphone+amp+bass
Jean-Luc Pickguard
If I didn't have one already, I'd spend the voucher on a very cool transparent Makala reproduction of a 50s maccaferri plastic ukulele: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kala-Makala-Waterman-Sopran-Ukulele/dp/B00TUMK0CM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1454866150&sr=8-1&keywords=kala+waterman It plays & sounds much nicer than such a cheap uke has any right to. Wonky2
Tc electronic clip on tuner, i paid £24 but think tgeyre back to £30 ... Fantastic little tuner and lovely and clear display.... http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00ZU4G0ZK/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1454868253&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX220_SY330_QL65&keywords=tc+electronic+polytune+clip Also, if you already have a tuner, the amazon fire stick is £30 and can be jail broke for kodi very very very easy. U tube guide throughs by the dozen. Edited February 7, 2016 by Wonky2

Phil Starr
Go for the B1ON even if you never use the effects it's a battery powered practice machine. Drums, metronome, tuner iPod mixing. I'm off to sit next to Mrs S, whilst she watches 'Call the Midwife' I'll be rocking out silently with the headphones on.
Thunderpaws
The B1on is getting a lot of love here! I can silently practice with my Streamliner head so that's the only thing putting me off at the moment. Anyone got any pedals around this price point that are a joy to behold? Or a practice amp?
