Apart from anything else, how metal is taking BBC quizzes online? When the pubs are open, even.

4/10 - Two legit, two from guessing. I new the Sabbath singers and the Maiden album - and kinda knew the names one as I knew the bass player of one of the bands. The other ones were complete guesses - all but one I got wrong.

Upon reflection - I would argue that an immense knowledge of metal bands of the past & present is less metal, more metal fan.
I am a bit of both I like to think.

Why do metal/rock bands have to have to silly names ?

Steel Panther are just pants girly rock and have a pants name. They don't all have silly names, But then some bands of all genres have daft names. Orange juice, Stars of the Lid, Radiohead etc.
