Stamford Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Just wanted to say hi. Been playing bass for 3 years, kind of a late starter to it as in my 30's. Looking forward to reading through the posts and picking up invaluable tips and peoples' experiences and perhaps share some of my own. Quote
Grangur Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Hi Stamford, You think 30's late? Phur! You're a meer child! Welcome to Basschat. Good luck with the learning journey. Cheers Rich Quote
Marc S Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Hi Stamford, Don't worry 30's isn't late. You're never to old to try something new I took up bass as a young man, the stopped playing for over 20 years! So I essentially had to start again anyway..... at 40 something But I enjoy it more than I did when I was a lad Welcome to basschat Quote
baldwinbass Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 I started playing 3 years ago, aged 56 - so you can teach an old dog............ Quote
discreet Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 (edited) I started playing bass 42 years ago, aged 14... oh wait, that's not relevant. Edited February 20, 2016 by discreet Quote
ribbetingfrog Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 (edited) I started at 38, 3 years ago. Best thing I've ever done. Going great, in a band and loving every minute! Hope you enjoy it. Edited February 20, 2016 by ribbetingfrog Quote
Yasen Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 I am 33 now, so I will think about starting too if it is not late enough Quote
Luulox Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Welcome and hope you enjoy the experience! 😊 Quote
