JJW Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Steel centred guitar, but it looks really badly made: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575090229&toolid=10001&campid=5337531593&customid=&icep_item=182014527837&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229508&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg Quote
colgraff Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Better than anything made by me would be. Quote
Roger2611 Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Definitely better than the offerings of "he who must not be named" Quote
PlungerModerno Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Interesting guitar - the execution leaves a little to be desired - If it was cleaned up and the finish was repaired (a new level clear coat) it could be a nice but strange instrument. I don't think the design is terribly practical. I imagine it's pretty heavy too! Here's it's new listing (at a new, reduced price!): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/electric-guitar-custom-unique-fabricated-steel-body-frame-see-pics-/182025738768? Quote
Bassassin Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 I think this is aluminium, not steel. The neck looks fairly well-made and is incredibly close to the old 70s Kramer design - did they ever do one with 3 wooden inserts? Looks pretty old (70s/80s) and like it's had a good few mods & bodges over the years - fairly sure the messy attempts at engraving designs on the bare metal parts aren't original. Jon. Quote
alyctes Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 The metal colour is right for aluminium. Given they don't line up with the end of the metal body section properly, I wonder if the two body halves are replacements? Quote
