0175westwood29
did this little video to compare some of the rat type drives. got a classic proco rat, a fuzzrocious rat tail and cog effects tk-421x, all sounded great but what do you guys think? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWu_OO1oVMo Andy

GazWills
I couldn't get this to stream on the weekend - but from owning all 3, the COG was the clear winner for me - what do you think Andy?
0175westwood29
I couldn't get this to stream on the weekend - but from owning all 3, the COG was the clear winner for me - what do you think Andy?
i do really like the Cog, however i still have a really soft spot for the Rat tail, with my rig it sounds really wicked and sits really well in the mix and i like how with the second gain setting boosts the bass when pushed. need to spend a while for a proper play with the cog Andy
GazWills
I run my cog with gain a tiny bit over half. The blend and filter knobs on the left both at about 2 o clock. Full gain as per your demo is not that usable a sound. Plus less is more with the blend and filter on the blend, just needs a touch to fatten up the lowest frequencies... GazWills
And change the diodes internally to asymmetrical LED, in my humble opinion, sounds best.
GazWills
Takes a while to dial in into your setup, for sure...
