whizzzy
Just about to buy some Labella's for my newly acquired bass and I see that they are now producing "Low tension flexible flats". They're a bit cheaper than the usual 760's as well. I've been using 760's for a few years now and very happy with the sound but the advantage of lower tension sounds very appealing. Anyone have any experience of these? How do they compare to 760's?
Old Horse Murphy
I found them to be very dull sounding (even more than the normal La Bella sound). The tension was great but very thuddy
lee650
I've just taken a set of these off my P5, very dull and woody sounding right out of the box. Very flexible and easy to play with a very low tension. I just prefer a little more bite with flats,I recall the standard la bellas were brighter initially. whizzzy
Thanks guys. I'm convinced enough to stay with the original 760's.
Dazed
Any comparison to TI floppies?
PauBass
Any comparison to TI floppies?
I'd love to hear how they compare too as I will soon be buying a low tension flat set.
