drTStingray Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 (edited)
The color is actually called 'honeyburst'
It certainly isn't vintage sunburst but as the OP says, it looks a little dark for honeyburst - tobacco burst possibly? Easiest way to find out is via EBMM customer service - give them the serial number and they'll give you the build date also. Lovely looking bass - GLWS Edited February 19, 2016 by drTStingray
ReB87 Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 It's really honeyburst. People confuse it with the lighter 'cherryburst'. How I am do certain? I've owned a Musicman Sterling in the exact same colors. The borders of the instrument tend to be brownish, instead of red.
jbasst Posted February 19, 2016 Author Posted February 19, 2016 I was confused on the colour as the shop I bought it in had it listed as Vintage sunburst .... Thanks for clearing that up !
Black Coffee Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I had one of these in tobacco burst. One bass I wish I had never sold as it was so easy to be heard through everything, inlcluding psycho drummers. GLWTS.
jbasst Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 Considering keeping this as I don't have to sell it right now - but will open up the floor to offers of trades ... Most specifically something nice and P Bass-y
