leemarseillebass
Hiya! Just learned a whole new setlist, one of which is Highway Star. It's the Chickenfoot version but I'm curious to know if anyone has used the EH B9/C9? Ive seen demos online but would sooner know if tracking the lower notes causes and issues at all? I fancy the idea of not needing an actual keyboard 😊 Cheers, Lee.
ikay
Don't have one myself but the review in SOS says "The pedal also works with the higher notes of an electric bass guitar, though not quite so well below the instrument’s D-string" http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/oct14/articles/ehx_b9.htm Edited February 19, 2016 by ikay
JellyKnees
I've not long picked up a C9 on here. It's definitely designed for guitar but it is pretty useable with a bass too. I've found that it works best with my Dingwall ABZ when I set it to the bridge pickup alone, and when I stick broadly to the upper register of the intrument. It also requires a certain modification of technique and certain patches track better than others. Very useable though...
leemarseillebass
Ah cheers chaps! I'm glad it's been used on bass, I guess it's fine if there's not much happening on the lower register as the parts I'll potentially play with it are all higher solo parts... I'll have a listen to the clip now
