Black Tusk - Pillars Of Ash

I've just picked up the album Pillars Of Ash from Black Tusk (released Jan 29th), and I just had to post a thread as a recommendation. I can't remember the last time I listened to an album for the first time, and instantly had this much fun. On the CD packaging, it said for fans of Mastodon, Baroness, Kylesa, Skeletonwitch and Motorhead, and that's a pretty fair statement.

They're only a three piece, so the bass really has a chance to come through. There's moments where it really sounds fantastic too- nothing too flashy, just great simple rock riffing.

Any other fans out there?

Gave it a listen yesterday, good record - got that Black Sabbath meets Motorhead vibe; fans of High On Fire, early Mastodon and Orange Goblin will find much to enjoy
