TheGreek Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 This Parker Hornet is in the town where I live. Has damage to the neck - no idea how severe this is - possible bargain? The Fly sells for a lot more normally. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Parker-PB41-Hornet-Bass-34-Scale-4-String-Electric-Bass-Guitar-/311550895328?hash=item4889e164e0:g:ZRsAAOSw~OVWxzZH Quote
warwickhunt Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 The neck is glued in... or at least it is supposed to be; whereas this one is decoupling rapidly! Even if you are good with joinery etc. I'd be concerned that there is too much pressure for the neck joint to hold. The proper 'Fly' is a similar shape but a different bass altogether, though I did read about concerns re. the carbon neck/body joints failing (I used to own one). Quote
TheGreek Posted February 22, 2016 Author Posted February 22, 2016 The seller emailed me - seemed "keen" to get rid of it...may have more issues than seems at first. Quote
