JohnFitzgerald
I posted about this yesterday after I'd seen it, but now I've bought it, I feel as if I can legitimately give it its very own New Bass thread. Haven't begun to decipher the serial number yet, but seeing as these were made between '96 and '98 it'll be in there. Condition is within a whisker of mint and it plays rather nicely. I'm a sucker for the trans red finish, pearl scratchplate, and the gold hardware. A bit of an unknown rarity I suppose and for that alone, I'm rather taken by it. gary mac
I haven't seen one of those before. Looks great and the same colour, I think, as my P Deluxe from that era.
JohnFitzgerald
Nor had I seen one until Gumtree thrust this under my nose yesterday. I have a penchant for having both pickups wide open, then roll the neck pickup back until the mid range just pops out. This does that lovely. A nice linear curve on the tone pot too. It actually does things all the way, not the first 5%. It'll get a run out this week.
Painy
That's a relief. Now I can stop looking at it every time I'm on Gumtree
JohnFitzgerald
Did it draw the eye somewhat ? It was half an hour from here, couldn't not have it.
