BassBus Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Gode! That takes me back. Real spirit of 1977. Back then I was a big Genesis and Pink Floyd fan so I loved to hate this stuff. Now I'm a couple of years older it's actually quite good. Quote
Rikki1984 Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 I really liked that - there's nothing I could find to criticise. Quote
Dad3353 Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016
...so take a look...
Excellent, and very true to genre. Well played, very well recorded and mixed, totally 'in your face'. It's about as far from my 'comfort zone' as one could get, within the confines of the known universe. All three tracks are over in around 7 minutes; The Dead's 'Dark Star' has hardly begun its intro in that time..! Ideally suited to the 'Wham, bam; thank you, ma'am', throwaway pop culture (which doesn't intimate that these are to be thrown away, to be clear...), I'd assume that that was the target. If that's the case, it's, literally, bang on. If you're going for the Sinatra style, it fails somewhat. Congratulations; well done, all involved. Quote
