Due to some serious pre CBS Precision gass, I've decided to sell one or more of my beloved Flea basses. These are fantastic instruments and supurb to play.mi love them all equally for different reasons and can't decide which to sell, the silver is so sleek and pristine, the blue sparkle is just so fun and funky, and the black is just so dirty!

So I thought I'd put them all up for sale and see what happens!

The gun metal silver is in the best condition, absolutely immaculate, a few light scratches on the plastic that covers the electronics on the back, but other than that I can't find a mark on it, it's so perfect I never take it out and I will sell for £2000

The blue sparkle is just so funky, with matching funky headstock, again this is in great condition but it does have a few lacquer dinks on the back, they are difficult to see because of the funky paint job, but be case of this I shall sell for £1900

The black gets most use and has shows the most wear, but still in very good condition and will also sell for £1900

My preference is to sell the silver one (if any, I'm already weakening!)
But that's only because it's in such prestige condition I don't take it out for fear of smacking it on something!
It seems a bit of a waste when I have the other two which I alternate between!

I'm in north Nottinghamshire.
I'm actually weakening, every time I look at them I wonder whether I could purchase my pre CBS Precision without selling one of these beauties, it could mean a trip to the divorce courts........but hey.........priorities and all that..

I've actually lost my bottle and failed dreadfully, whenever anyone asks about my blue sparkle or black I break out in a cold sweat and want to cry, I think I'm going to have to change my listing somewhat, and will probably just list the silver, I just don't think I can part with the others.

Feeling your dilemma Chris.

All I can say is that I am seriously glad I never ended up selling my purple Flea. At least if you do sell one you have 2 others left.

Though I could add that strangely I don't miss any of my pre CBS Fenders, and I have had some lovely ones. I wish I could have kept a couple of them in an ideal world, but the prices they are these days put a swift stop to that and I just couldn't justify that capital tied up when other more serious needs were to be met.

If you do scratch that lovely pre CBS itch, make sure it's a good one, worth the money, and not a bugger to resell!

OMG... Don't sell, buy a purple one and you've got the full house of sparkly fleaness!!

I've got a blue sparkle and despite the fact it's not my 'go to' bass anymore, I couldn't part with it!!

Stunning set... Don't do it!! :-)

I'm interested in the blue sparkle but got dilemna. New work van or blue sparkle.... But looking at your posts I think you're just being a tease and they're not for sale!
