Following info taken from here...

http://www.voxshowro...gs/1982_p4.html

Japanese (Aria / Matsumoku) made
Honey polyester finish
34 inch scale length, 24 fret 2 octave neck
Extra wide through body neck design
Full specification DiMarzio P Bass and J Bass pickups
Guitar constructed entirely from hard rock maple
Mode switch selecting series/parallel or coil tap on both pickups simultaneously
Three way pickup selector, tone and volume controls
Deluxe bass bridge and tail piece assembly

Nut width: 38mm

I bought this bass s/h in the mid 90s as I fancied a PJ-style bass, but after the initial excitement had worn off it's just lurked in its case under the bed while I followed a more traditional P and J path! It's in reasonable condition, although the headstock is rather battered around the edges. There's what appears to be a crack in the neck near the nut, but it doesn't seem to have got any worse over the 20 or so years I've owned it so I suspect it may just be in the lacquer. One of the selector switches was broken off when I bought it, and the other had lost its plastic tip - I never got round to sorting either problem. Strung with what I suspect are Fender nickel rounds as these were my preferred string at the time I bought it.

Weight 10.75 lbs.

Hiscox Liteflite hard-case included.

Sorry, UK only, payment by cash or bank transfer, and no trades as I need to cull the herd prior to moving house / downsizing. I'd prefer the buyer to collect, though I should also be able to meet up / deliver within a reasonable distance of Blackpool.

Cheers!

But I possibly ought to point out that neither of my Precisions or Jazzes would fit in the Hiscox case as it's a bit too shallow / well-padded for them, so it may not actually work for anything other than the Vox.

That is ridiculously cheap... it's worth more than that for the pups! And the hard case.

I'm surprised at the nut width. Mine's a treetrunk - one of the reasons it's under the bed feeling lonely.

Yeah, it's always struck me as a wide neck overall, but the nut's definitely only 38 / 39mm, unless of course my cheap ruler (and even cheaper eyes) weren't telling the truth!

And yes, I guess I probably have undervalued it, but tbh it needs to go so......

You're doing a good thing for the bass community!

I have myself been the recipient of some incredible bargains on this forum recently, and this looks like another.

Cheers! I've had nothing but good deals (and pleasant surprises like upgraded pups) on BC too, so I guess it's payback time! :)

Agreed. I recently bought a fretless Warwick Rockbass and my wife took one look at it and shrieked: "How much was THAT?"

When I told her it was £130, she was pleasantly surprised and commended me on getting a good deal. That's Basschat improving marriages!
