MarkG3
http://r.ebay.com/cyo07a I like the look of that! Anyone tried one out or got one?
dannybuoy
Cheaper if you cut out the middle man (i.e. eBay!) http://www.retrovibe.co.uk/t-rod/butterscotch-bass.html
Marc S
Not tried one myself, but have spoken to a guy who has an earlier Rick type Retrovibe (the ones that looked quite similar, before they were forced to change the design) - he reckoned that it is an amazing bass. Great build quality, but didn't sound quite Rick-like enough for him So he was intending to change the pickups.... Personally, I quite like the look of the retrovibe fretless P bass I wouldn't mind a try of one of those myself.... Coldflows
I have a Retrovibe Renegade, insane value for money. Plus David who owns them is a super easy guy to deal with.

kodiakblair
Proud owner of Retrovibes Evo,Zygote,Super-P & the sadly discontinued RV4. Dave's a great fella to have dealings with, when I got the Super - P he suggested and fitted the coil tap switch for nowt. Now I'm planning on adding the Stinger preamp. Reckon the T-rod will be a belter.
CustardFilled
Can only repeat what kodiakblair said really, very happy with my Vantage and Dave was excellent to deal with!
MarkG3
Put down a deposit. He said that he should be getting 2 in 7-10 days so I've secured one of them
mcnach
If you like those, you may also want to consider a Mike Dirnt Squier Precision (got mine for under £100 used). Very nice and light too. The neck is pretty slim also if you like that, not at all Precision-like. Rosewood, 'though. I have one, but sourced a CV maple neck and replaced it. I also changed the pickup... the original is fine, but I liked these cheap Entwistle pickups better. It's a monster of a bass.
MarkG3
I used to have 3 Dirnt Fenders at the same time!!! One in black, one vintage white and the other sunburst. I loved them but sadly had to sell them. So really looking forward to getting this one!
MarkG3
I really regret having to sell the vintage white one, looked great and played great. So that's why I've gone for this, plus the maple neck just tops it off for me
LewisK1975
Thread revival!! To the OP - Mark G3, did you get the T-Rod? How is it?
MarkG3
I did get it, sounds good and is really easy to play. Couldn't fault the finish or build in any way. So I'm really glad I got one, definitely is easier to play than my previous Fender Mike Dirnt basses, which were the original version. Thats not to say they aren't good, I would say for the price save money and get the t-rod over the fender. Looking at it, it's exactly the same apart from the name on the headstock! LewisK1975
Thanks for that, it's a great looking Bass for sure...
paul h
I've got an early Retrovibe and I love it. I am sorely tempted by the T-Rods. Very cool looking
