keefbaker Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 As some of you may know I put an order in a couple of weeks back for a 5 string fretted Maruszczyk Jake but I'm off to the bass guitar show in a couple of weeks and would like to come home with a nice fretless. Thing is I'm only there from 10AM to 1PM due to commitments so I can't go and try everything out so... With my somewhere-between £1000 and £1500 budget, which stands should I check out? Any recommendations? Quote
TheGreek Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 ACG of course....Musicman ( I love the Reflex) and Bass Gear (fall in love with a Ritter)... Quote
hubrad Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 I know you're off to the Show, but I'd have a look at this if it's nearby.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/overwater-perception-deluxe-5-string-fretless-bass-/222028065904?hash=item33b1e76c70:g:GDcAAOSwll1Wxi00 Quote
BigRedX Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Fretless? ACG is going to be hard to beat. Quote
keefbaker Posted February 26, 2016 Author Posted February 26, 2016 Looking like ACG. Bad timing on that Overwater, it's a great price for a great bass but I've already paid for a bass without playing it this month (ok, fair it's not actually made yet, but still..) and I really want to have something in my hands before I pay for it this time. CamdenRob Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Yes I think you definitely should be paying ACG a visit... Have a look to see if he has anything fretless with his MultiCoil pickups in it, I'm betting you won't need to look any further if he does Quote
keefbaker Posted February 26, 2016 Author Posted February 26, 2016 Hmm... Thinking I might see if music man have any fretless 'rays there as well. Quote
steve-bbb Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 don't go near the Sandberg stand !!! if you pick one up you won't be able to move away without parting with your hard earned bass tokens Quote
