ged120 Posted February 25, 2016 Share Posted February 25, 2016 Has anyone tried modifying a passive Dingwall bass to include an active unit such as a John East unit? I purchased it new not long ago but after having a J-retro in my Fender Jazz, i wondered if this may be an option to improve the already superb sound? Any thoughts? Dood Posted February 26, 2016 Share Posted February 26, 2016 I modified the pickup configurations instead and the results have been great on my AB1. I changed them again last week! Preamp is still the three band Glock' which I think will stay! Look up 'DV1' mod on the Dingwall Forum to find out what I'd been up to previously.
