On a brief tangent I find it weird that people are surprised when women are virtuoso bassists or guitarists when if someone said a woman was a virtuoso pianist or violinist nobody would blink.

Not surprised, it's just I haven't seen many. More the merrier as far as I'm concerned

Totally agree - my six year old daughter is up for trying bass, as long as it's pink
