I have one of these, albeit without the additional bridge pick up, and it's a terrific bass - especially for this kind of money.

Well worth buying as a back up anyway, but I used mine as my main gigging bass for most of last year.

I'll take £60. Please don't offer less. I'm practically giving this away.

Here are examples of the tones this bass is capable of.

Someone please buy this bass, you can't get much more bass for that low an amount of money! I would, if I wasn't so far away!

Is there a safe option for posting without a hard case? Couriers chuck things around so carelessly don't they?

Yes, put it in a gig bag (or double box it) and pack it well with soft stuff like bubble wrap, air bags, foam, even scrunched up newspaper. Surround the bass completely with the packing materials. Pack it tightly enough that nothing moves when the box is shaken, but not so full that you risk bursting the box. Use good parcel tape. Use a good courier - I've sent many basses successfully using UPS via Interparcel (Interparcel's Economy/Standard/Premium services).

Alternatively you could detach the neck from the body and put in a smaller parcel.

I'm so gutted I'm absolutely skint at the moment; would have had this in a heartbeat. Even at £100!

I usually just use a good thickness of bubble wrap and cardboard round the outside, to ship a bass. I've never had one damaged yet.

Some nice playing in those videos by the way and this is a ridiculously good price for this bass! The suggestions above for packaging up the bass are all good too..

I have had many Yamahas that were made in Taiwan, don't be put off. I've found Yamaha quality is consistent across the board, no matter where they were made.

Oh absolutely. It's just that I have a thing for early 80's MIJ Yamaha's.
