Just watching this recording from 1982. What a damn near perfect bass sound. Immense. Shame his presence in the video feed is minuscule compared to the audio feed though.

Isn't this the "norm" though. I've lost count of the times I've been listening to a good bass solo while the cameraman is focused on a guitarist playing very little. (for example)
